Leading the way for Logan Local News Gary is an experienced journalist.

Starting his journalism career in 1994, writing for national motorsport magazine ‘Auto Action’, it was not long before his work was appearing in regional newspapers.

Backing up his real world editorial experience, Gary holds a Bachelor of Communication, majoring in Journalism from Griffith University Logan.

After a fulfilling career in regional newspapers, including his first stint as Editor, the opportunity to move into specialist reporting arose, entering transport journalism.

Spending more than seven years covering the significant issues in Australian transport news, Gary earned his stripes in the billion-dollar transport industry.

Whether it was test driving the newest million-dollar heavy combination vehicle, or breaking the latest industry and technical developments, Gary was at the heart of industry news from Australia and around the world.

Eventually it was time to return to regional journalism, bringing his amassed knowledge and experience to bear on local issues, while retaining his hands-on involvement in the motoring industry.

With the launch of Logan Local News, Gary is putting his skills bringing local news back to the people of Logan City.
